Denise Brady

Denise Brady is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT78004). She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English with a minor in Psychology from California State University, Channel Islands. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles.

Denise has been in practice for over a decade. She started her career in South Los Angeles working with the chronically mentally ill. She worked in a substance abuse day treatment program with women working to regain custody of their children from the Department of Children and Family Services. Here, she developed the skills needed to navigate and understand complex trauma in communities of color.

Denise takes a collaborative, strengths-based approach; assisting and supporting clients to be the author of their own lives. Among her areas of expertise are Eye Movement Desensitizing and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, infidelity, depression, anxiety, and trauma.

Denise focuses on helping clients understand the connection between childhood trauma and adult behavior like anger, sadness, anxiety, and insecurity. She is warm, open, encouraging, and direct in sessions. She is an engaging therapist with a creative and realistic approach to therapy
