LaShonda is a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, Supervised by Kim Simmonds – LMFT89466. A native of Los Angeles, LaShonda holds a M.A. in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University, an M.B.A. in Business Management from the University of San Diego and a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

LaShonda helps clients navigate traumatic events that hinder their ability to connect, thrive and grow. She creates a therapeutic space that connects, affirms, inspires and build bonds to help clients resolve life and relationship conflicts.

She works with couples, children and families to develop satisfying relationships, achieve work-life balance, and develop coping skills to manage stress and anxiety. Her work with couples and families focuses on improved communications and acceptance.
LaShonda is trained in various therapeutic approaches including: Attachment Therapy, CBT- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; TF- CBT-Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
Prior to her work at K&S, LaShonda spent 20 years working for fortune 500 companies connecting and optimizing supply chain relationships, to increase productivity and profits. She is an expert in helping teams and organizations maximize efficiency and productivity with company stakeholders.

When she’s not working, you’ll find LaShonda in the kitchen baking and singing. LaShonda is a member of the National Association of University Women (NAUW) and The Links, Inc., an organization dedicated to serving families of marginalized communities.

LaShonda’s most treasured time is spent volunteering as a compliance manager for Pop Warner Football games. You’ll also find her at softball games cheering on the umpires and referees.
