Kama Richetta

Kama is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT 110891). She holds a Master of Science degree in Marriage & Family Therapy and a Master of Arts degree in Education, School Counseling from California State University, Dominguez Hills.

Kama has spent years working in various settings with diverse populations. She has served as a mentor, facilitator, and therapist in corporations, schools, a teen crisis hotline, youth camps, health clinics, and recovery centers. From her experience in these capacities, Kama has accrued skills and knowledge that align with her dedication to help and support others.

Kama’s psychodynamic and compassion-focused theoretical approach is influenced by her belief that our upbringing and internal narratives (conscious and unconscious) inform how we view ourselves, others, and the world. Kama uses these modalities as a foundation when working with clients and also integrates tools and practices learned from her training in eco-therapy, grief counseling, and Council (a listening practice that fosters connection and community by sharing stories) to help foster a greater sense of insight and self-acceptance.
