Leanne Nettles
MA, LMFT – CLINICAL DIRECTOR
Leanne Nettles, LMFT94575, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over a decade of experience supporting children, youth, families, and mental health professionals across school, community, residential, and correctional settings. Prior to joining K&S Therapy, Leanne served as a Clinical Trainer at McKinley Children’s Center and continues to work as an Adjunct Professor at Pacific Oaks College, where she trains both emerging and seasoned clinicians in trauma-informed care, cultural humility, and evidence-based practices.
Leanne holds a B.A. in Psychology and Interdisciplinary Dance Studies from Cal Poly Humboldt and an M.S. in Marital and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary. She is a certified Clinical Supervisor and Trainer in Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP), a CANS Certified Trainer, and a La Maida Trauma-Informed Ecological Model Certified Trainer.
Leanne’s clinical work centers on advancing mental health equity, particularly for historically marginalized communities. As Past President of the Los Angeles Chapter of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (LA-CAMFT), she has led statewide initiatives focused on anti-racism, cultural responsiveness, and social justice in therapy. She regularly facilitates trainings on spirituality in mental health, the therapeutic needs of mixed-race clients, and culturally responsive clinical practice.
Leanne helps individuals and couples navigate life’s most difficult seasons—grief, loss, conflict, and emotional disconnection. Whether working with a couple struggling to repair their relationship or an individual processing the death of a loved one, she creates a space that is compassionate, grounded, and practical.
Her approach integrates evidence-based interventions including Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP), the Trauma-Informed Ecological Model, mindfulness strategies, and somatic awareness. Leanne is also trained in Prepare-Enrich and uses this model to support couples in strengthening communication, deepening emotional intimacy, and healing unresolved wounds. She meets clients where they are, blending clinical expertise with authentic connection and embodied healing practices like movement and breathwork.
A passionate advocate, educator, and clinician, Leanne believes therapy should be a liberatory experience—one where clients feel seen, heard, and equipped to thrive. She brings academic rigor, cultural sensitivity, and creative energy to every session, helping clients build lives rooted in resilience, purpose, and joy.
