SAGE HUBACEK
AMFT, MS — THERAPIST
Sage Hubacek is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT 127854). She holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles, CA.
Ms. Hubacek is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), one of the leading therapy techniques to address trauma, anxiety and explosive feelings.
One of her areas of interest is helping folks in the BIPOC community recover from traumatic experiences, by creating a safe, welcoming and understanding space.
Ms. Hubacek’s experience as a youth minister and in leadership at the YMCA, compliments her clinical work with youth. She helps them recognize and calm their emotional meltdowns before they start. She uncovers the root causes of problematic behavior and heals these wounds at the source.
In addition to helping her clients recover from trauma, Sage is dedicated to showing couples and families how to resolve conflict, communicate without yelling and manage their emotions, so they don’t explode and make a mess of things.
Sage is in a variety of therapeutic approaches including: Nurturing Parenting Program (NPP), Cognitive Processing Trauma (CPT) and Psychological First Aid and Motivational Interviewing.
Sage is supervised by Kim Simmonds (LMFT89466).
